Cody began writing at a young age for his local hometown newspaper. The son of a Award winning artist, musician, and amatuer archeologist, Cody grew up surrounded by the intrigue of the Catholic faith, the search for Native American artifacts, and the sounds of classical piano music vibrating throughout the home. His father being a Freemason added to the curiosity. These perspectives served as inspiration for his interest into history and the arts.
Finding interest in historical fiction novels in college, he soon began writing his own novels. After graduating with honors from Arkansas Tech University with Bachelor Degrees in Political Science and History, he submitted his first novel entitled The Lost Truth. With no luck finding a publisher, he quickly began research on his second novel in December 2005 entitled Powerful Secrets. He got the idea for the book from his mother and, after researching secret societies and philosophy while in college, began to write. After the book was finished, a publishing contract and offer quickly followed. The novel is an all out adventure of clues, mystery, romance, and adventure that finds 35-year old Professer Bruce Vaughn face to face with the factual secret society, the Brotherhood of Death. He must make it through the entangled web of mystery to solve the puzzle and unveil their powerful secrets.
The author is also a member of the GOP, American Historical Association, Arkansas Archeological Society, AACA, and Tribal Voices. He currently attends graduate school at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville and is working on a second book.
Other than writing, the authors hobbies include Archeological digs, water recreation, studying of Native American artifacts, sports, the National Right to Life, and reading. He works in business as a corporate manager and lives in Centerton, AR.
